What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy watching students grow their confidence in the mathematical concepts they're learning. It's very rewarding as a tutor to see a student who struggled deeply with an area of maths eventually feel comfortable in their understanding and ability to apply their knowledge.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my main strength is my ability to be adaptable to the student's needs. Every student responds differently to certain methods of teaching and I'm aware that the main task as a tutor is to work out what works for the student, and how I can maximise the chances that they'll develop an understanding of the content they're trying to learn. I therefore will utilise my problem-solving and logical thinking qualities (which I developed during my computer science degree) to determine the best approach to help a student learn, and achieve the goals that they set for themselves.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is be patient and understanding of their circumstances. It can be demoralising being behind in a subject and frustrating when you can't wrap your head around a concept, so I believe a tutor has to not be pushy and provide the student with the space to pick up the concepts at their own pace, whilst providing them with the correct guidance to ensure that they get there.
