What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
As an avid believer in the potential that everything holds, I view the world not for what it is but for what it could be. People may say nothing can be divided by zero, but I believe anything can be divided by zero - it's just that we have not discovered how to make it happen. This translates to my passion for human development, as my goal is to uncover the potential in other people, no matter how absurd or insanely impossible it is to find. One of my key strengths as a tutor is my continuous commitment to learning. While I may be on the other side of the teacher’s desk now, I haven’t stopped learning. Each day as a tutor, I learn how to communicate more effectively, how to deal with new challenges and circumstances, and how to be a better educator. I once thought that being an adult meant knowing all the answers. But in reality, adults, even teachers, constantly have more to learn. As a tutor, I may make the transition away from my current role as a student, but I did not and would not transition away from being a learner.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
When I was younger, I thought that a good tutor was 1 that gave high-fives after class. Later, I knew it was far more complicated than that. I thought about tutors I admired and their qualities. They were savvy, committed & inspiring. Their sessions were always fun & instructive. There was plenty I wanna teach, but I believe the most vital thing I can do for a student is to enjoy math as much as I did. And that’s when I realized the most essential quality of my fav teachers: passion.They loved their subject & passed that love on to their students.
