What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

The most rewarding feeling I receive as a tutor is the look on a students face when they understand a concept!. Sometime's its disheartening for a student to not understand a topic, especially in VCE when there's high pressure on a student to get good grades. Therefore when a concept is understood and the student is visibly relieved , all the time and effort is so worth it!

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

My biggest strength as a tutor is my ability to teach a CONCEPT. Whilst answering questions is so important, understanding the concept at its core is vital. As a tutor Im able to find the root of the students misunderstanding (which tends to be misconceptions or gaps in knowledge about the core idea at hand) and teach it according to the students needs. for example, financial math is a huge struggle for most VCE students because theres a lack of understanding with what the questions are actually asking and what the concept is (eg. different types of loans ect.).

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

Being patient with a student is vital, students need to be able to feel comfortable asking a tutor questions. Therefore being a friend and supportive to their needs encourages a two way communication between the tutor and student. for example, if a student is frustrated because questions are too difficult, taking a break and letting them know its okay to struggle and that we can keep trying ensures students don't become disheartened!
