Small mistakes throughout working, missed numbers and sometimes forgot to take away sections when deriving e.g. ln(x) derivative - forgot to take away ln() part in 1/x fraction - ln(1/x) - wrong

When given a problem solving question, she would say what she had to do, but didn't write it down, the first step - knowing what to do, she knew what to do from reading the question; the second step - writing it down, needs practice, sometimes stares at the paper instead of writes on it.

Had trouble understanding how log functions work - didn't know/ remember log rules
Knew how to manipulate the equation to help find the answer. When explained, she committed it to memory and enacted the process.

When given a complex equation with exponentials and a fraction in it, (e^x + 3/e^x - 4), Didn't know where to start or how to begin tring to find out the equation, she assumed there was a hidden quadratic which was correct but unable to continue from there.

Recalled the chain rule, product rule and quotient rule perfectly after 3nd try. Knew how to carry out the order of operations for the derivative.

Exponential equations need revising. She gets a bit confused with how they work, especially when in a derivative.
