What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Personally, I believe that teaching is not merely a job, and brings me pure joy in engaging with students of various calibers. It is also immensely satisfying to know that I will play a role in the success of a student's academic career, by motivating and inspiring their learning process and fostering a good working relationship with them. I have been privileged indeed, to hear some wonderful remarks from my students reassuring my teaching ability, which makes this job even more worthwhile.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Combined with my educational qualifications and my wealth of teaching experience, I am currently serving as an Associate Lecturer at a University, and also tutoring primary and secondary school students. My specialties lie in teaching Science, Maths and English. My teaching philosophy includes both an authoritative and facilitative style, in which I believe I possess the authority and should deliver the content to the student to the best of my ability as well as understanding. I also believe in catering to the capabilities of various students, as each student absorbs content at a different pace. I am also proficient in using various technological platforms to deliver content to students and have used various modes of teaching including Kahoot's, tutorials, mind maps, diagrams in order to capture the student's attention.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe a tutor plays a crucial role in molding a student's academic journey, aside from their time spent at school. It is imperative to build a good working relationship with the student, which will aid the student in being comfortable and clarifying all doubts. This is important because I have met many students who are under the assumption that their question maybe 'stupid' and hence refrain from clarifying it. Additionally, most students also look up to tutors as their role models and so it is really important to engage with students in an appropriate manner, while also not forgetting to show them the varying career paths that exist, which will also be a driving force in their learning journey.
