What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love helping kids, and I obtain a lot from tutoring and interacting with students. For example, when I tutored my younger sister, I got to know her logic of thinking. It is lovely to explore their way of thinking, and I improve myself in socialising with younger people.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am an international student from China who has done high school here, thus, I have experienced both west and east education. Various study experiences allow me to customise study plans for each kids based on their learning preference.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A good study habit. It is vital to grow their passion of studying rather than just teaching the knowledge. Therefore, I will try my best to bring them enjoyable study experience while maintaining high educational quality.

Reviewed Newton's first law and dived deeper into Newton's second law in manipulating various formulas. (speed = distance/time; acceleration = change of velocity/time; force = mess * acceleration) Experiments of lifting fruits were done during class, we calculated the force we needed to lift a banana and a kiwi. Theo has done very well in using all the formulas we have. And he is making progress in operating Excel.
Theo is struggling to remember the formulas as well as using the data (time and distance), however, it is understandable since Theo has got other school work to work on. To help Theo understand the concepts, we could keep reminding him about the relationship between time, speed, and distance in daily life. For example, letting Theo know the time and the distance it takes to travel from home to school.

We have developed Newton's second law based on the previous lesson. Although the content is a bit challenging, Theo showcases his patient in exploring new knowledge and interest in the experiments. Compared to the first class, Theo is more willing to talk and share his thinking. After explaining all the formulas and theories, we did a few experiments to test the speeds and the accelerates of Theo, Mathilda, and Zede's walking. That links back to the learning contents in more practical and exciting ways.
Since the content is getting harder, there is a need for continuing practice even though having an awareness of speed and acceleration in daily life would be good.

We have done practices that relate to the intersection of sine and cosine functions, and the questions require skills in drawing graphs. To solve the questions, Achilles links previous learning of drawing and solving equations. It is a good opportunity for him to practice and consolidate his knowledge.
There is an improvement space for connecting multiple theories and manipulating them to solve problems. The suggestion for Achilles is to review previous learning while moving toward the next chapter because concepts and theories in the future are built based on previous knowledge.

We have gone through lots of practice today. Achilles shows his understanding by using formulas correctly during question-solving, hence, he has consolidated his knowledge with those practices.
It would be more helpful to write down the thinking process on paper so that we could comprehend better if there is a of revision.
