What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The things I value most about tutoring is to be able to see the growth of a student. Whether this be in their discipline, organisation, or grades, I believe that every student has the potential to improve themselves and tutoring gives me the opportunity to push them in the right direction.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I understand that students have different ways or learning and take different amounts of time to learn. My role as a tutor is to identify which pathway fits the student the most and support them in any way I can. I am always prepared to explain concepts in various ways or slower, to ensure students understand what is being taught. My past role has taught me that understanding a concept being done in front of you and doing it yourself is completely different. I believe that I have the capability to bridge the gap between these two ideas. I have previously worked in a highschool for 2 years, offering help in maths.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The upmost integral thing a tutor can do for a student is to demonstrate support. I've learnt that all students need in education is an abundance of support. I, as a tutor would want to be one of the pillars that support the student in their education. To me, supporting them involves teaching the work, giving feedback, and encourage them to do their best. I believe that creating the right environment can set the student up for success.
