What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
The most enjoyable aspect of tutoring is the fulfilling reward of watching students progress over time and developing strong professional connections as a mentor to watch the student's overall development. Personally, I believe these aspects are conducive to developing positive studying habits for students and allows them to be more engaged in their studies.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I think my strengths as a tutor are flexibility in adapting my teaching techniques to a variety of diverse students in a university context, and also developing effective communication styles to express this information to different students with different comprehension levels. My experience as an academic tutor in my college and university demonstrator has also allowed me to practice simplifying difficult concepts so students can grasp a stronger understanding.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important things a tutor can do for their students is to have a genuine interest in the student's development through adopting a patient and flexible teaching method that caters to the student's learning style. This also involves providing them with their time and effort by being accessible outside of class hours via email, as well as being prepared for each session.
