What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing the learning curve when a student begins to feel confident in their skills. An essential part of a good education is for students to learn how to learn. Basic problem-solving skills and work ethic stem from what students learn in school from a young age. Learning how to approach challenges in school can help students overcome difficulties and self-doubt independently.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As I recently graduated high school, I am very familiar with the stresses and external factors that can affect a student\'s academic performance. Teaching a student and being a student both bring their own challenges, however being part of both groups myself, I have a unique insight to both points of view. Students feeling overwhelmed academically often interpret their difficulties as being overlooked and their mistakes as being blameworthy, which is a feeling that, in my experience, parents and teachers cannot always relate to.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The right tutor can help a student feeling like they are falling behind their peers gain confidence that will enhance their motivation. Allowing a student to realize their full potential can help them in all aspects of life, not just inside a classroom. Students often get bogged down by stress from tests and cannot see how rewarding (and dare I say fun!) learning can be once they find the study methods that work for them.
