I understand that different students have different learning styles, and can appeal to these via teaching strategies such as analogies, diagrams and linking concepts to previous knowledge. Furthermore, my experiences in playing football at a representative level and coaching football have enabled me to develop effective communication skills with people of various ages, from students to their parents. I understand that an enjoyment of the subject is much more likely to lead to academic success, and I keep this in mind throughout tutoring.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Understand their individual circumstances. Some students seek tutoring in order to excel, whilst others may need assistance in a subject they are struggling to pass. I believe a tutor needs to know their students well enough to understand their personal goals, their preferred methods of learning (eg. some students may require diagrams to visualise concepts), and what the student needs in order to improve.Tutoring students in 👦 👧
