What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Being able to pass down the knowledge and skills to other students and help them in their studies. I also enjoy seeing students grow, learn and understand the content while also enjoying the learning process. I feel gratified to see students become more confident at the subject. I also enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As a tutor, I think my strengths are communication and leadership skill. As I have previously done peers support program at school where we guide and help the year 7s, I am confident that I can communicate with the students, understand what they expect from me as a tutor and get their feedback so I can improve and help guide them throughout the course of learning. I have also been the music captain where I arrange for rehearsals and do speeches during school concerts. Through this role, I acquired leadership skills, which is important as I should be providing clear guidance for students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think planning the content for every lesson is one of the most important things that a tutor can do for a student as tutors are supposed to learn and understand the contents in order to prepare and teach the content in the best way possible and not waste time during the lesson. I also think that finding the best study strategies for students is important as everyone has their own way of effective studying and their performance and confidence will be better with the right study technique.
