What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The number 1 thing I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing students who once struggled with a concept or topic finally understand it confidently. Getting to experience this with my students, reinforces that my teaching ability is successful and that I am having a positive impact on their learning capabilities. While I will always push and encourage my students to try their hardest, the most rewarding thing for me as a tutor is seeing their growth as a student from the start of the year to the end.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As a person who has been enrolled in tutoring for many years of my schooling life, I understand the importance that tutoring has on one's learning and growth as a student. I believe having this perspective as a student would help me better connect with students and thus maximise the effect my teaching has on their desire to learn and academic ability. I have always been a hard working, dedicated and adaptable student and I believe this would translate into my role as a tutor.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to instil a strong sense and desire for constant learning and improvement. This growth mindset and perseverance that tutors can help establish for their students can be translated to other areas of their lives outside of academics. While learning and performing in school may be difficult, the role of the tutor is to act as a guide and a helping hand for students in their times of need.
