What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy connecting with my students most, being a tutor allows one on one connection that students do not often get in school. It allows us to work on strengths and weaknesses and makes achieving your goals, OUR goals. The best feeling is to see how much we have have grown when looking back at where we started in our academic journey together.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As a tutor I am capable of adapting to individual students needs according to their own strengths and weaknesses. I am patient and willing to further explain a concept to ensure my students comprehension. Having gone through tutoring all throughout primary and high school, I know what it takes to build confidence and achieve the results you are looking for.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Students that seek tutoring often do so because their school classroom does not offer attention to individual needs of the student. As a tutor I feel it is crucial to cater to your students needs so they can excel. This includes; encouraging a growth mindset, developing confidence in tackling challenges, and fostering independence. As a tutor I am there as guidance, to provide your student with the skills and strategies to take on any obstacle in the classroom.

About Maya

Who am I?

Hello! My name is Maya and I am currently pursuing a bachelors in education studies. My goal is to become a primary school teacher one day but I have a great passion for mathematics. In my free time I find myself trying new recipes or looking for new restaurants. Besides cooking and baking, my hobbies include going on walks or to the gym, visiting friends, and re-watching my favourite TV shows.
