What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most is the little light bulb which so evidently lights up in students' eyes as they come to understand a concept. Working so hard towards a specific academic goal and finally achieving it is what I've always strived for, and is what I love seeing students pursue, as their worldview expands beyond what they've ever imagined, opening up new opportunities and experiences for them to cherish in their future lives.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I'm very patient with my students, and I'm very passionate about subjects revolving around mathematics. I find the challenging and puzzling aspect of mathematics and science extremely interesting, and always strive to get across that passion. My curiosity has never died out, and so I try to engage my students in curious discussions about mathematical concepts such as the Fibonacci Sequence or the patterns we find in Pascal's triangle. Visualising concepts and seeing them in everyday life greatly supports and boosts the progression of natural curiosity and is what I'm very good at transpiring.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor may do for a student is provide them with the resources required to understand a subject in a way that further nurtures natural curiosity. For example, with enough background knowledge of science, students often start noticing things in their everyday life that make them question things from a scientific perspective; e.g., what is it about the molecular structure of sponges that makes it absorbent? How do the gases work together to make the sky blue? Why does a microwave oven make foil explode, but cook food?
