What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
As an advanced math/ comp sci double major at UNSW, It is inspiring to see students understand perspectives around a complex concept that they would otherwise find difficult to interpret and visualise.My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
As a tutor, I am not just able to intellectually relate to a student, but actually understand what makes a good student . As a recent school leaver who remembers going through the same processes, it allows me to be relatable and explain concepts in a way that makes it easier for students to understand - especially because I am able to find and fix these little gaps in knowledge that would otherwise go unfixed.Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be a positive role model, and be someone to look up to, someone who can be relied upon for any academic issue. I think the biggest problem is that students are afraid of being judged or scared of what tutors might think of them, and I believe that establishing that open honest communication between a tutor and a student through our shared experiences over common subjects will lead to great levels of progress.Subjects Tutored π
