PDHPE Tutor Mount Warren Park, QLD
My focus is to help a student achieve their best. This is achieved through working collaboratively to break down concepts and turn them into bite size digestible sizes. I can also share my experiences of studying and working across several sectors to help coach and mentor students for future endeavours. Communication across stakeholders is…

PDHPE Tutor Cornubia, QLD
Empower and encourage them to problem solve themselves and to find a passion for learning. I still remember my fifth grade maths teacher, his passion was contagious and infectious and still to this day he is in my top three favourite teachers of all time (and I’ve been studying for 20 years!). I have well-developed interpersonal skills, from…

PDHPE Tutor Belivah, QLD
The actual academics itself, while being at the core of the tutoring, is not the most valuable aspect. From my experience, most students do not have the care or respect for their instructors, and mutual respect in particular is essential, because mutual trust is otherwise close to impossible for many people. You must find a balance between being…

Local Reviews

Olivier has been a great addition to my daughter's learning and understanding of Year 12 Maths Methods. He has helped create her a much better understanding of the concepts and procedural methods involved to move forward with her knowledge and progress in this subject. He is organised, punctual and polite and my daughter's feedback is always positive following her tutorial's with Olivier. I gladly recommend his services as a tutor to anyone in need of same.

Inside AlbertonTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 Zara focused on statistics, learning to find the mean, median, mode, and range of small data sets using real class examples.

In Year 8, Mia tackled algebraic expressions and practiced solving equations for x through targeted worksheet problems.

Meanwhile, Year 10 Sam worked through trigonometry revision, including basic questions on angles and sides as well as an introduction to vectors and geometric transformations.

Recent Challenges

A Year 10 student, when working on algebra and worded equations, tended to avoid showing all steps—this made it harder to spot where small errors crept in, as noted: "she skipped showing steps in algebra, which hid sign errors."

In Year 12 maths, one student hadn't completed Task 3 and needed to clarify assignment requirements with their teacher; this delayed progress.

Meanwhile, a Year 7 learner was sometimes distracted during workbook tasks and required redirection before refocusing. These habits led to repeated confusion or incomplete assignments rather than building confidence through independent problem-solving.

Recent Achievements

One Alberton tutor noticed a Year 10 student who used to hesitate with the substitution method now confidently switching between methods when solving simultaneous equations, even correcting earlier mistakes without prompting.

In a recent session, a Year 8 student who previously guessed answers during statistics work is now carefully explaining her process—taking time to show her working for each step before moving on.

Meanwhile, two younger students have started insisting on trying themselves first before asking for help, showing a clear shift from passive listening to eager problem-solving.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Beenleigh Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Carbrook Animal Assisted Learning Centre.
