What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The simple fact that I am able to help out a younger student in a subject that I once also struggled in an enjoyable manner. The ability to help one enjoy math not as some boorish chore, but as a subject that can be understood, and thus fun.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My unique strength is my personal experience with math during high school. I found math harder than my peers, so I pushed and tried harder than those around me to get from the bottom of 5.2 math in year 9 to getting an Ext 2 offer by the end of year 11. I can relate with students when they are struggling with certain topics as I have been in their shoes, struggling more than most. Due to this, I have a solid understanding of topics, and am able to convey them to younger peers in a fun manner so that they may see math in a new light.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
As mentioned in my answer to "What do you think your strengths are as a tutor?", I believe my strength is one of the most, if not the most important factor a tutor can have for a student. High school students rely on not the amount of knowledge their mentor has, but how their mentor can convey information to them so that they may understand and thus enjoy it. Hence, the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is for them to be able to transfer knowledge and information in a enjoyable and understandable manner.
