What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I thoroughly enjoy connecting with a student and helping them find ways to enjoy learing about the subject matter. For me teaching has always been about teaching the process of learning, and once kids find a way to simply love learning they never look back. Once you get a student to that stage you not only see clear improvements in their effort and grades, but also in their attitude in general. When I was younger I had some not so great teachers, and some exceptional ones and I was always keenly aware of the difference. My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think I have excellent communication skills, and especially in a one-on-one environment, I can find a way to connect with almost anyone and understand their point of view and enable them to understand mine. I think this skill allows me to explain concepts to students in a way that they can understand, as well as in a way that is practical and usable for their studies. I am always thinking of ways to improve my own learning as I am still a student, and I think I am well positioned to be a teacher.

The most important thing a teacher can teach a student is something about how they learn best, like what techniques, environements, etc. they need to learn effectively. This is not only a skill that will help them any time they need to learn something in the future, but also something that will help them enjoy the process.
