What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
When my student is able to explain back to the concept I have taught them. I believe this is the most rewarding and enjoyable part of tutoring as I am able to witness the student first struggle with the new concept and then become confident with it.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I believe my communication skills make me a good tutor. These skills significantly developed during my time as a finance intern where analysed revenue figures and then presented my findings to my team. I believe these experiences will ensure I am able to clearly convey the new topic I teach my students.
I believe my problem-solving skills will benefit me if my student struggles at first to grasp a new concept and I must come with another way to explain it to them.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe ensuring that a student truly grasps a new concept is the most important thing a tutor can do for a student. One common way of proving this is to get the student to explain the new concept back to me. This then gives them confidence to tackle more complex problems.
