What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I think it is quite rewarding to see many of the students I have worked with improve significantly, particularly those I worked with over an extended period of time; that is, seeing them begin to intuit things based on what I have taught them in the past.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My greatest strength as a tutor lies in my ability to explain complex concepts in terms that students of varying abilities can understand. Moreover, I think I am also very good at providing feedback, especially when it comes to written work, such as on practice questions. This means that I am able to foster a continual growth process and highlight in concrete terms to students where they must improve.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is listen. Given that a lot of students seek tutors out because of inadequate classroom teachers, it's critical to understand the needs of the student and construct lessons and content in a way that is going to cater to their weaknesses and actually test their skills or fill gaps properly rather then teach them what they already know of repeat teaching techniques that have been ineffective for them. Beyond that, it's also very important that a tutor provides positive and constructive feedback so that students can learn from their mistakes.
