What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I have been tutoring kids math commercially for more than a year now and it has been an absolute pleasure working with young minds. Tutoring allows me to assist kids with any doubts and questions that they may have missed in school or had not got the chance to ask before whilst strengthening their skills by doing more questions at their own pace. I enjoy answering inquisitive questions asked by children which would lead to fruitful conversations that help understanding a subject matter as opposed to memorizing it encouraging a growth mindset.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe that patience is my biggest strength. As expected from tutoring it is vital that we make sure that the student has his basics in place in order to aid with his future learning (especially when it comes to math) and in order to do that we might have to explain, reexplain and re reexplain the same content when the child struggles to grasp it. I also encourage children to always ask me if they have any doubts and ask them open ended questions to voice out their understanding. Another strength would be to make sure that I match my tutoring techniques and speed to the child's unique pace.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that it is important for a tutor to understand that each child is unique in their own way. They have different strengths and weaknesses and with that their own capacity of understanding. As tutors its our responsibility to analyze and best suit our teaching methods to meet each child's unique levels in order to ensure that the child has a proper understanding of their subject content.
