What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love teaching children new things and helping them to understand important principles that they can utilise all throughout life. The benefit of being a good tutor is when they finally grasp a difficult concept and they have the "eureka" moment after a period of perseverance and hard work. In addition, inspiring a new generation brings me immense satisfaction and pride to be helping children to realise an intrinsic passion for learning.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
From my background as a swimming teacher, I have become an excellent communicator. On multiple occasions, I would rephrase my instructions or explanations if my swimmer did not understand. I also had to simplify complex scientific concepts into easily understood segments that are tailored to the individual. As a tutor, I am very friendly and approachable, who always encourages open communication when working together and not being afraid to be honest about being stuck so that progress can be made.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe instilling a love for learning is the most important because I believe that knowledge and education is the key to leading a happy, healthy and successful life. I believe that self-motivation is the best form of motivation which generates the best long term results and is the best thing you can encourage a child to utilise. Therefore, enjoyment of learning and understanding its importance is my aim objective when teaching a child.
