What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
As I have done it quite a lot in the past, I always have enjoyed the moments when the subject clicks for the students and they finally understand it because I personally know how awesome that feels. I also just enjoy helping the students out because it always just feels extremely rewarding.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very patient which, especially for younger kids, is a very important strength to have. I taught online mostly in the past and so I have had to learn to adapt to have even more patience as students have much less attention when being tutored virtually. I also think that my subject areas are a strength of mine. I was hesitant to select more areas that I am able to tutor but for levels below high school, there aren't many subjects that I haven't tutored before. I have taught everywhere from English to 3rd graders to coding for 11th graders.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Teach them the process rather than just how to get a single answer or even worse just give it to them. You can spend 5 minutes on 20 problems each but if they only know how to do those 20 problems because of memorization or repetition and don't understand the why as to how they are getting their answers on a fundamental then it's no good. As a tutor, it is important to teach them not just how to approach a problem but why it works so that they can do it on their own and truly understand it.Subjects Tutored 🎓
