What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Through the 6 months I participated in volunteer tutoring, the best part that I found in the process was when my tutee would finally understand a concept they had been confused by. Whilst it is a great feeling for the student to understand their content, it is equally as fulfilling and satisfying as a tutor to know you have done a job well done.
(the option for what subjects i can teach is not letting me choose any subjects. As such, the subjects I can tutor in include: English, maths, biology, chemistry, science, physical education, viscom. I received above 40 for all these subjects.)
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I find myself proficient at being able to explain concepts to those of a lower understanding. I, myself, like to summarise and compartmentalise difficult concepts in their most basic format, and I think I use this skill well during tutoring sessions when transforming a difficult concept into one that primary school students could understand.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to understand where they need help and be patient. It can be frustrating at times when a student does not grasp an idea quickly, however, as a tutor, it is important to understand how they find this difficult, and find ways around the obstacle rather than becoming impatient and finding things impossible.
