What do I enjoy most about tutoring? š
I enjoy the fact that I get to help students, at the very least, understand topics that they are having difficulties within their classes. I also enjoy the fact that it's a small group, be it one-on-one or a group of 5 students. This way a teacher can effectively focus and attend to each of their learning needs.
My Strengths as Tutor šŖ
Iām an expert in my subject matter which is Physics since I already have a Master's degree in it. It is imperative that a tutor knows exactly what he/she is teaching. This way, I am able to deconstruct complex concepts and make the student understand the basics which will enable them to understand the advanced topics rooted in the basic ones. I am also adept at different learning styles and each student will have their own learning style. I have experience tutoring for a year and teaching at a university for two years.
Most important things I can do for a student š
Motivation and understanding the learning need of a student. Most of these students come because they are either challenged or want to be ahead of the game in class. Motivation is one of the core soft skills a tutor should have. Without it and an understanding of how a student effectively learns, all of the tutor's knowledge is in vain.
