What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

My mom works as a computer science high school teacher, and I've seen first-hand how many lives she's touched and inspired. I hope to do that someday, if not at least share my enthusiasm for mathematics with those who find the subject unfamiliar and dull.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am patient and actively gauge my tutees' mental exhaustion. Teaching advanced mathematics is simple enough once you motivate the student and provide them with the means and thereby the confidence to tackle any question head-on, once they know how to begin. I am friendly and encourage students to revise the textbook front to back before introducing more challenging questions from my personal question bank. Practice makes perfect, and being a former tutee in multiple after-school advanced classes, I better connect with enthusiastic kids.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I'd say it's most important to understand how each student studies best and how to provide and fill in the gaps in one's understanding of the subject material in a concise fashion. Tutors should help and encourage students to set straightforward goals and basically keep the ball rolling to the point that they actively seek to complete their assigned work by their own volition. Tutors should set a safe environment strictly dedicated to learning with no distractions and bridge the gap between what each student learns in school and total understanding of the subject material.
