What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy tutoring because I am able to help students to understand their study materials. In addition, helping them to understand something they do not initially makes me feel appreciated and gives me satisfaction. Tutoring also cultivates skills that will be needed in my future profession such as communication, efficiency, and management.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I can adapt well to different learning styles required by students. If there are materials that I am not too familiar with, I can master those materials quickly to be able to share the knowledge with others. I also consider myself to be patient and understanding hence I will give up on my students easily.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Although I have no professional experience as a tutor, I think that the most important thing a tutor can do for their students is to be able to give them the right amount of time and space for them to learn independently- but always be ready to be bombarded with questions. A tutor should be capable to communicate well with their students to prevent frustrations and to make the learning experience the most enjoyable for students.

No complaints, Kai seems eager to learn math.
He managed to breeze through the questions quickly. Some complex problems involving circle and composite shapes need to be revisited before the test as practice.

He is now confident on the topic and learned how to use algebra efficiently in the previous lesson. He now can realise his silly mistakes without me pointing it out- this is how we know he’s improving!
We need to remind him the importance of organisational skills again as he seems to be back on his old habits of writing.
Kai did a great job remembering the concepts he learned in the lower years. He showed in-depth understanding in regards to perimeter of 2D shapes.
