What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Despite having limited experience with tutoring, partially restricted to projects, and general non-commercial roles, I found that tutoring is mutually helpful. In university majority of the concepts or content might not be relavent depending on academic focus, but a lot of the skills used for understanding and retaining content is used and build from high school. When I can help other people, students, etc, improve, it firms my own knowledge in how to approach academics. Aside from this, watching them progress is a large part and joy of tutoring.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
In content, given the resources, I found that during my degree, the intial content and skills in the humanitarian faculty were further reinforced and developed. As a result, I believe I can provide effective tutoring in this regard, prompting habits and approaches to essay writing, analysis, and research fit for university and the HSC.
As a previous student who benefited from tutoring, I understand the perspective and common stresses that distracted and often limited my academic progression. As a tutor my priority will be to use these experiences to help the student.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
During my senior years I received help from several private tutors for Mathematics, English, and Chemistry. I got through this period with their help and found that their ability to aliviate my stresses. These stresses which related to my future career, university, and general uncertainity progressing helped further my study, and my focus and mental health during this period. As a tutor assisting the student to stay grounded is one of the most important duties.
