What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
Being able to help students develop their own understanding and knowledge and then witnessing progression in their own studies. I also really enjoying engaging with younger kids and trying to create a more enjoyable experience of learning for them, as it is often something that they really dislike.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I will always try to gauge an understanding as to where a student is at and learn about their own strengths and weaknesses in subjects so that I can apply it to my own style of teaching and/or topics to cover. I'm also dedicated towards seeing individual students grow and take joy in seeing them understand new concepts.
Most important things I can do for a student π
A tutor should be able to listen just as well as a student is expected to, yet also be able to pay close attention to their own students - this is beneficial in finding out when students might be struggling so that extra time can be allocated to certain areas. I also think a critical thing for tutors to do is to reflect on student's performance in school to reflect on whether students have actually fully grasped difficult concepts.
