What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy tutoring as I can help students understand concepts that are unfamiliar to them. I believe I have the strengths to approach concepts and mathematical problems in a variety of ways that will suit a student individually. I enjoy seeing people grow and I believe education is one the most important factors of a person's life.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
That I'm able to understand how assessments work, in particular what the tests usually ask for. Therefore I can identify practice questions, areas that I know will help students achieve a better grade rather than focusing on areas that may be irrelevant.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to believe in them. When a student is stuck on a question or when they are completely lost in a chapter, it is the tutor's job to make sure that the student realises that they have the potential to understand these problems, not that they're stupid. There are always different ways to approach a problem and it is most likely that the way the teacher is teaching how to solve a problem is not the most suitable explanation for the student that is struggling.
