What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring allows me to assisst students with areas of difficulty and allow them to overcome these barriers. I find joy in seeing a student understand a concept which they were unsure of before and it also truly tests my own teaching abilities. I am required to set, plan and explain a concept not only in depth but also clarity.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strength as a tutor is my ability to communicate effectively. I am a great speaker which led to being elected as House Leader at my college. I am able to explain concepts with clarity and also provide much-needed shortcuts which I have gathered along the way. I have personal strengths in subjects such as physics with detailed syllabus notes on all topics. I am also able to target the weakness of the student and be in their shoes which helps me to efficiently target where they need help.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing is creating a personal relationship so that the teacher almost understands the student more than the student understands themselves. By doing so, the tutor is able to direct thier student's learning and as a mentor, provide much-needed attention to areas of weakness and also provide their students with tips on certain topics. Being tutored and also being a tutor, I found that understanding where your student stood really benefitted the learning process. Afterall, there should be quality over quantity for learning to be truly effective.
