What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

For me, tutoring is about passing my own personal experiences and wisdom onto younger students to help them succeed in their academic pursuits. As such, I enjoy communicating with my students and helping them achieve results they can be proud of. I also enjoy the sense of fulfillment that arises when a student experiences that 'eureka' moment when I explain something in a different way.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As a tutor, I am highly flexible in the sense that I am able to alter and adapt my teaching style to best suit the student(s) I am tutoring. This may mean that I use visual demonstrations or offer extra practice material based on how best my student learns. I am also very friendly and approachable, as I cultivate open and comfortable environments for my students in which they can ask me questions without feeling intimidated. Finally, I am very patient as a tutor, and so do not get frustrated with my students, which in turn allows them to learn better.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor should be able to personalise the content and tailor it specifically for the student they are teaching. This means first identifying the student's strengths and ensuring the way of delivering the content is reflective of these strengths. A tutor's advice is not limited to the subject being taught, but can extend to other areas of academic success such as time management, effective studying strategies, and ways to balance studying and other commitments.
