What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Being able to help with the academic struggles of fellow students. The HSC can be very stressful to some and I believe I can provide students with my own personal experiences as a recent graduate of 2015 to soothe any issues with their studies. As a leader on the field as sporting captain and off the field as house captain, tutoring would be no different for me to pass on my skills to fellow students. I love answering people's questions and am happy to help on anything that is not academically related.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My experience as a sporting/house captain has allowed me to achieve the qualities of spotting and seeking the best in people and bringing this quality into tutoring. I believe that good marks/state ranks don't necessarily depict being a good teacher, but being able to help others with my own personal experiences that are generally more realistic. My way of teaching is flexible. I am able to understand different opinions/methods, cater to different strengths and styles of students. Last of all I am willing to put extra hours, while levraging my skills to help out fellow students through the HSC

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Most tutors forget that students never enjoy tutoring, so it is important to set interesting challenges to keep students motivated and also polishing their skills using unorthodox methods. Too much of the time tutors just read off the textbook and don't provide alternative methods or keep the students' focus on their work. I believe the students who are willing to pay a tutor money to further their studies should be able to expect different methods and qualities from normal secondary school teaching and thus giving them an edge during common exams like the HSC
