What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I have loved the feeling of being able to simplify concepts for students and trying different methods of explaining so that students can gain a good understanding of the material. I enjoy watching the smile on the face of students when they finally understand the material and realise that it was easier than they had originally anticipated. Seeing an improvement in their test scores and witnessing them achieve their personal goals truly brings me joy.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am very patient and understanding because as a recent year 12 student, I know the feeling of struggling to understand different areas in my studies and at times feeling very stressed and under a lot of pressure to perform well. Therefore, I will be able to empathise with my students and show them that they have the capability to learn the concepts and materials by explaining the concept to them in a manner that they will truly understand, suitable to their style of learning. I am also very responsible and dedicated. I will ensure my student has nailed the material before finishing.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for students is to give them the confidence to believe in their abilities in order for them to view themselves as capable enough to learn new things, work hard and perform their best. This starts with the tutor identifying the student's area of need and working hard alongside them to improve it. This will ease their minds and give them the confidence to conquer any new concepts they are taught. Tutoring is like providing students with a ladder to reach their personal goals while ensuring that each step is steady for them to climb.
