What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I truly enjoy the moment every connects in a student's mind. The "aha!" moment they experience once it all comes together is incredibly gratifying, both from my experience informally tutoring peers as well as from my experience as a student.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very adaptable; capable of showing the student a multitude of methods and paths of thought until we reach one that suits them. I am able to break down concepts and map them such that I can quickly identify the misconception that is holding the student back, allowing me to remedy the misunderstanding and thus allowing the student to grasp the previously mentioned concept.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Tutoring is supplementary to the education of a child, it should not replace the education they receive at school. Tutors are there to help students to gain proficiency and mastery of the curriculum taught to them. Thus the most important things a tutor can do are the following:
- Remove obstacles and misconceptions in the way of a student which prevent understanding
- Exposing students to the variety of methods by which they may experience various concepts
- Improving proficiency
