What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy being able to help and support people, without judgement. I remember when I was a kid and struggled to reach out for help with school work because I didn't want people to think I wasn't smart enough to do it. I want to be able to give back the help I received.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am reliable, I have worked with children before in two other workplaces; including as a swimming instructor. I am willing to learn more to help other children and I know that not all kids learn the same way. My experience as a swimming instructor has given me different techniques and improved my capabilities as a teacher. I am also going into primary education which I think will be very helpful.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is build a relationship with the student, the more you get to know the student that is when you can, personalise their learning, incorporate the student's interests into their learning, teach to their strengths and minimise their weaknesses.
