What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy the most about Tutoring is being able to encourage other students, in something I myself love and am passionate about. I have always been involved in ensuring I excel in my academics and that people around me excel too. When tutoring I get to work with students personally, and help them reach their full potential academically. Helping other people succeed and thrive gives me a lot of joy

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am patient, calm and empathetic. I am very organised. I make learning fun and engaging. I am able to single out concepts each student may not understand and work with them to solve it. I am a great communicator and give as well as receive feedback graciously. Being both a tutor and a student receiving tutoring gives me an insight into the whole experience. Being a current student, finishing up year 12, also offers me great insight into the requirements and struggles of the current academic system posing me ideally to help students succeed.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to give them confidence and make them interested in the things they are learning. A lot of times, when we are struggling or bad at something, it makes us dislike it, which may make it harder for us. If however a tutor is able to instil in students confidence, and intrigue for the topic along with teaching the concepts, it makes learning new things, or complex concepts easier. At school due to the way classes and teachers are organised, you may not always get taught the way you learn best, which is why it is important for a tutor to do so.
