What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I believe in the idea that knowledge is only useful to those who understands it, and the capacity to understand complex knowledge can be enhanced just like a physical exercise. When I used to teach my younger brother I have learned that teaching affects both teacher and the student, by sharing my understanding of the knowledge, we both benefit from a mental exercise that occurs as a result of deciphering information. I regard teaching as a win-win and it is always a pleasure to share my knowledge and experiences to those who need it.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am persistent when it comes to make sure that the student understands the knowledge. I would break down the concept into sub-parts and identify what it is that the student is struggling to understand.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that tutors are like side wheels on a bike when children start learning how to ride a bicycle. Eventually, they'll have to take it off and ride on their own but in the meantime it is the tutor's responsibility to teach them how to ride it, show them how to learn from their failures, and if you're good enough maybe give them the fun experience of riding. Learning is a cognitive exercise which is just as important as physical growth of human being. Tutors should provide support students in their own ability to think independently and find their own way of learning.
