My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I consider myself a patient person, which I think is a vital quality for a tutor to have as all students learn at different paces. Furthermore, as I am still a university student I too am still studying and can therefore relate to clients and pass on effective study tips. In addition to this, I have experience tutoring and know how to target particular issues students may be having and how to improve their understanding in these areas. I am also able to explain somewhat complex concepts in a simple manner that may be easier for students who are struggling to understand particular idea.

I think it is not only important for a tutor to help a student with a particular issue they are having at that moment, but to show them how to effectively address such further issues that may arise in the future. This can be done by teaching efficient and tested study techniques that have proven successful. Additionally, tutors can show students how to develop an understanding of concepts rather than memorising words the teacher has said. This will allow the student to retain knowledge, rather than achieving a surface level grasp of the topic and forgetting when they move on to a new subject.
