What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

1. Seeing students' develop their understanding of mathematical and physics concepts, and how to apply them. 2. Observing students' expressions of satisfaction (smiles and so forth) when achieving improvement during tutorial sessions and increased grades. 3. Observing the changes in students' learning abilities and thought processes. 4. Interest in learning students' career goals and interests. 5. The opportunity to share my knowledge and [relevant] experience with students. 6. The learning of alternate viewpoints received from students.

1. Relating the relevance of material covered to students' interests and future learning. 2. Identifying students' learning strategies, tailoring sessions that are compatible with their strategies while suggesting alternate strategies of use. 3. Identifying areas of student misunderstanding of course concepts, then implement strategies and thought processes to overcome such misconceptions. 4. Able to adopt learning strategies to overcome impediments to learning; such as blindness, attentional disorders and autism. 5. Knowledge of relevant tertiary courses and careers.

1. Assist students' understanding the course content while developing a range of suitable learning strategies, viewpoints and thought processes. 2. Increase motivation for learning by demonstrating relevances the course content has to future learning (including tertiary studies), their interests (where possible) and life applications. 3. Promote active learning and other self-learning strategies, including study skills. 4. Adapt tutorial sessions to cater for any impediments to learning due to disability and other factors, as well as life circumstances (if known from the student or parent)
