What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

With tutoring, my favourite part is being able to make an impact on young students, whether that's inspiring them on an academic or personal level. Although I was the oldest growing up, I had a network of incredible teachers and mentors that supported me in my academic endeavours and I have always wanted to pass down that support system to my younger siblings and other children when given the opportunity.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my biggest strengths as a tutor are that I am a very empathetic person and a good listener. I put myself in other people's shoes which allows me to understand when my student is feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or lacking confidence or motivation for a topic. I offer a good attitude and a way to confront those feelings by breaking down difficult topics or stressful time lines into more digestible pieces in order to reassure my student that they are capable of accomplishing hard things. Overall, I care deeply for those I mentor and their success is just as much theirs as it is mine.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is make them feel like they have someone they can trust in their corner. Traditional school can be very overwhelming at times, especially when every student is expected to learn at the same pace and may not have special devised attention due to other peers. A tutor is someone who takes their student's needs and challenges to heart to help them reach their full potential. By doing this, the student gains confidence in their own abilities and is reassured that they have a strong support system rooting for their success.
