What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy making a difference. There seems to be so many reasons tutors are beneficial: sometimes to salvage those "falling through the cracks", sometimes to provide new approaches that are more easily retained by certain individuals; sometimes just to moderate the speed of presentation of "building blocks" to a concept, etc I like finding the key to an individual's need, the key that might unlock the door to their success....
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I find I'm approachable, interesting, interested, organised, reliable, and I simplify complexities easily. I'm knowledgable and have many life experiences to draw from. Being empathetic by nature helps and having had to home-school my daughter during a long illness provided numerous insights to approaches.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
..... to inspire a love of learning and to strengthen a student's belief in their own ability to learn . I try to encouage taking on Thomas Edison's philosophy:
"...the most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time".
