What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I really enjoy working with kids and helping them develop their skills and passions. I have a younger sister and several younger cousins and we are all very close. As the oldest, I've always felt a responsibility to look after them and guide them in the right direction. As they continue to grow up, I've seen them stumble with their academics at times. But with a little guidance, they are always able to recover. And that's really what I enjoy about the process is helping young people who are lost or distracted rekindle their interest in a subject and improve their work.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am a very empathetic person and I'm generally quite adept at understanding people's struggles and frustrations. I feel like many students I've worked with in the past were easily frustrated when they were unable to grasp a certain concept. Consequently, I've always felt like the key to helping them overcome these obstacles was to be extremely patient and try to see the issue from their perspective in order to provide them with the best guidance.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

In my experience, there are two really important things a tutor can provide for a student. A tutor's primary responsibility to their student is to strengthen their knowledge of a subject, diving deeper into topics they may have already studied or simply reinforcing concepts they are struggling with. While this is the predominant purpose of a tutor, what differentiates a good tutor from a great tutor is their ability to foster a student's passion for a subject. A great tutor should not only provide their student with the tools for success, they should also inspire them to be curious.
