What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
Helping students reach their best abilities. The one-on-one nature of tutoring allows for a greater connection to the student, whether that be through discussion of interests, or specific questions regarding homework. I thoroughly enjoy watching as students progress over the year, gradually getting better each and every session, until eventually, my student is confident enough to work through the questions themselves.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
Patience is one of my strongest attributes. I understand not to expect immediate results and that the attitude and habits of the student is highly important in their overall success. As a student leader in my cohort, I've come to interact with peers in my cohort and develop a strong understanding of things I can do to support their needs. I am confident, well spoken, and knowledgable in the fields of mathematics and english, ensuring maximum results.
Most important things I can do for a student π
My main priority as a tutor has always been to develop a love, or at least form of passion, from the student regarding whatever I teach. From first hand experience I know that it is almost impossible to truly devote effort and time into a subject you can't stand. Thus, I believe a tutor must help provide a path for more effective learning and enjoyment. Further, a tutor must understand the workload of their student, not bombarding them with homework which schools already do enough of at times, instead helping them find effective methods to efficiently complete these tasks.
