I enjoy building a rapport with the students and find it rewarding to help them build their confidence and knowledge in a subject. I like creatively expressing ideas using unique examples or metaphors to create lightbulb moments that help students understand and appreciate a concept. I am also a recent high school graduate so I have great knowledge of the current high school curriculum/syllabus. I believe that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to build their confidence in a subject and chip away at some students’ preconceived notion that they are bad at or just don’t get a subject.
