What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Undertaking the role of being a tutor gives me the feeling of happiness and satisfaction. This is because I enjoy talking to young people and igniting curiosity about the topics they are studying. I always seek innovative methods to make teaching more enjoyable and less boring for my students. In addition, seeing them achieve good grades or even if they do not, I always know that they have tried their best and commend them for it.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor would be that I am a patient person. Sometimes I could be slightly strict if my students get distracted by other miscellaneous activities or items. But, I always maintain professionalism in my role and communicate with parents on students' progress. Before I start teaching, I would tend to understand the learning pace of my students, adapt to their studying style, and make amendments to the methods to teach them at a pace suitable for them. Furthermore, I tend to relate questions to everyday scenarios so that they would understand better.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think that one of the most important things a tutor can do for a student would be to always be there for them when they have questions to ask. This is because with our presence, and once we manage to build a relationship with them, they would not feel that it is embarrassing to ask certain questions, even if they have a wrong answer in mind. In other words, I believe having an open yet well-communicated relationship with students is an important aspect of what a tutor can do for them. We should also be mentors, asking them how's their day and listening to their problems too, other than work.
