What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I feel that the most enjoyable aspect of tutoring is that it is extremely rewarding. Being able to teach someone something difficult and seeing an individual improve in their studies is probably the most enjoyable thing about tutoring. I also enjoy being able to help others improve themselves.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
As a tutor I feel I am able to understand students well and create a safe space for them to feel comfortable to ask about any issues that they are having with their homework/ sacs/ tests. Many of my peers and family that I have mentored have acknowledged that I am extremely good at explaining complex problems step-by-step in a manner that is easy to understand.
Most important things I can do for a student π
Improving grades for students is an ideal goal for tutors however, I feel that ensuring that a student actually understands and has learnt content is the most important part of being a tutor. Additionally, creating a safe space for students to be able to acknowledge their weaknesses and come forth with any issues that they are having is very important as well. As sometimes some students may be shy or embarrassed to ask questions about their work as they might feel it is a 'silly question' or something easy that they should already know.
