What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love and specialise in tutoring maths because it is one subject most students can absolutely improve in. It's always so rewarding to see the smile that comes on a student's face when they finally solve a question that they could not before.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am confident in my ability to explain concepts in an easier way than a typical school teacher can, while teaching students tricks and shortcuts along the way. I like to think that I'm quite relatable, and try to get to know my students as individuals. I strive to keep lessons light-hearted while maintaining a level of professionalism.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Understanding, repetition, and self-belief. These are the pillars of success in the subject of mathematics, and the most important job of a tutor is to enable their students to be equipped with these three attributes. I like to be encouraging yet direct when communicating what I perceive to be a student's weaknesses, and give them strategies they can use to overcome them.
