What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

One of the major aspects I enjoy about tutoring is independence, meaning that both the student and the tutor are capable of negotiating the most suitable time to conduct a learning session. This, in turn, leads to a far more productive working environment than observed in a classroom setting as the students are provided with individualized attention.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Technical knowledge, I believe I have an appropriate level of technical expertise in biology and chemistry where I can ensure students' advancement in these particular areas. Another quality I have is leadership; when I was studying at Flinders, I managed a team of four students where we conducted research on Rhizobia which is a nitrogen-fixing bacteria. This experience allowed me to develop both leadership and time management skills as I had a responsibility toward multiple students at the same time.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

There are a variety of things that are considered essential for a tutor to provide to students. One of which is strengthening their understanding of a subject of interest as well as building important learning skills. Another key aspect is communication and collaboration with both students and their parents to ensure their success and set students up for academic development. Furthermore, I believe it is essential for tutors to co-create individualized learning plans for each student, in collaboration with parents to leverage insights and map a better plan for success and accountability.
