What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring would be a great place for me to learn interpersonal skills, both with clients and colleagues, developing skills that will be useful in the future. I also in particular love working with people, helping them grow and improve. Furthermore tutoring would be a great job for me to have while studying in uni due to the nature of the work.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have great organisation and communication skills that would support me to become a good tutor, I can organise work efficiently and express my ideas clearly to my students. I also have fantastic listening skill enabling me to connect with my student and help them develop their unique learning styles. Additionally, as a native Mandarin speaker I can help Chinese ESL students more effectively. I am also particularly familiar with many syllabus points of Y11-12 subjects that allows me to help my students with the aim to improve their overall academic performance.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I consider helping students develop their own learning style is the most important things a tutor can do for a student. This way, students can clearly recognise their strengths and weaknesses and plan their own study accordingly to maximise their academic performance. In my opinion, student's own learning style encompasses time management skills, organisation skills, effective studying methods and more. As a tutor, if I help a student develop a suitable learning style, it can benefit them in primary and secondary education, and more importantly in tertiary education.
